IKEA MITTZON Sit/Stand Electric

A solid sit/stand desk that I use daily for coding and meetings. The dual motors lift smoothly and quietly — I barely notice the transition from sitting to standing. The walnut veneer top looks premium and the built-in cable management tray at the back keeps things tidy.

Pros:

• Very stable even at standing height with two monitors
• Memory presets (I have sitting at 72 cm and standing at 112 cm)
• Whisper-quiet dual motors
• 10-year warranty on the motorised mechanism
• Cable management tray included

Cons:

• Heavy — definitely a two-person assembly job
• The back cable tray is made of stiff felt-like material, not metal
• IKEA doesn’t sell a matching black extension lead (KOPPLA) in some markets

Overall, for the price point, it’s hard to beat. It replaced a fixed-height BEKANT and the difference in comfort is night and day.
